Naib Nazim accused of nepotism

JACOBABAD, May 24: The Nazims of union councils of Kandhkot Taluka observed a token hunger strike on Saturday against Taluka Naib Nazim Malik Gulzar Suhrani.

The striking Nazims alleged that Mr Suhrani had awarded contracts to his favourite contractors. They also took out a procession in the town.

UC Nazims, Ghulam Abbas Soomro, Allah Rakhio and Ghulam Mustafa, led the procession.

DEMONSTRATION: Hesco employees staged a demonstration in Kandhkot against an attack on their colleague. Meter reader Mohammad Shahban was injured by some bandits when he offered resistance to them.

KILLED OVER OLD ENMITY: A man was killed here on Friday by two armed men in village Mirkosh, Kashmore taluka.

Salar, 30, son of Jamal Kosh, was gunned down in the jurisdiction of Gehalpur police.

The reason behind the killing was said to be an old enmity.
