Marriage dispute claims life

GUJAR KHAN, July 27: A quarrel over matrimonial issue claimed a life in Pakka Khanpur village Friday night, police said.

Mohammad Rasheed, a resident of Pakka Khanpur, told Gujar Khan police that his brother, Talib Hussain, flanked by his son, Husnain Akhtar, went to his sister-in-law’s house to seek the hand of her daughter for his son.

While discussions were underway, the girl’s brother Tauseef and another relative Saleem turned up at the house, pulled out their pistols and opened fire on Talib Hussain. Talib later died of his injuries. The accused escaped from the scene.—Correspondent
