Nazim lauds NGOs role

KHAIRPUR, Dec 11: District NGOs Coordination Council, Khairpur has done a noble job by holding Eid Bachat Bazar, as low income groups will benefit by this work.

This was stated by Syeda Nafeesa Shah, district Nazim Khairpur, while addressing a ceremony held on the occasion of Eid Bachat Bazar.

She said that district government was considering a plan to work in associations with the NGOs for redressing the grievances of the peoples of the district.

She further said that the district government alone was unable to solve the problems of the people so the assistance from NGOs is very essential. She also asked Khadim Hussain Mirani,.district chairman NGOs Khairpur, to hold Juma Bazar in the town for the betterment of the people.

CPP LEADER: Our country has been defamed for spreading terrorism in the region in the name of so-called Jihad.

This was observed by the central leader of Communist Party of Pakistan, Comrade Qazi Imdad.

Addressing the provincial committee session of the party held in village Shahan Lashari, he said due to such policies the country has been discredited and also facing sectarian clashes.

He demanded a judicial commission on the pattern of Hamood-ur-Rehman commission consisting of retired judges of the Supreme Court to probe the matter.

Comrade Qazi appealed to democratic and progressive parties to come forward and form a united front to struggle for peace and democracy in the country.

The session was also addressed by provincial secretary, Comrade Amir Bux Lashari and others.
