KARACHI, May 22: The central joint secretary of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement was arrested at his residence during a police raid in Khokhrapar late Thursday night.

Sources close to the MQM-H told Dawn that Asif Shehryar had just returned from a political meeting when inspector Anwar Husain Jafri and the area SHO raided the house and took him away.
