KARACHI, May 22: The provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bokhari, on Thursday approved construction of 429.32km road from Karachi to Thar Coalfield in Islamkot.

This 18 feet wide road would be stretched across Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Chachro, Islamkot and Singharo (Chinese Camp) at Thar Coalfield and built at a cost of Rs605.60 million. The construction work would start in 2003-04.—PPI
