Media barred from covering president’s speech

ISLAMABAD, May 21: The government on Monday decided not to invite journalists working with newspapers to cover the President Gen Pervez Musharraf’s speech at the Saarc Education Ministers’ Conference.

Principal Information Officer Akram Shahidi confirmed that it had been decided that only official media would be allowed to cover the function.
