Ex-JUP leader dies in road accident

TOBA TEK SINGH, May 19: Syed Ayub Shah Gilani, former JUP central leader, was killed on Monday in a road accident near Muridke.

He was on his way to Lahore from Gujranwala when his car slammed into a trailer. He died on the spot. He will be laid to rest in the central graveyard here on Tuesday morning.

He was a civil and military construction contractor. He had joined the PML-Q few months ago. He had also applied for the Senate ticket, but he was refused.
