Two schools blown up in FR Lakki

LAKKI MARWAT, June 29: Miscreants early on Saturday blew up two primary schools in a remote Paharkhel Pakka village near the Frontier Region, Lakki Marwat.

A local official said miscreants had planted homemade bombs to explode the two buildings. He said the personnel of law-enforcement agencies reached the area soon after the blasts and launched a search operation.

He, however, said no arrests could be made immediately.

Later, the education department officials visited the schools and inspected the damage caused to the buildings. An official of the education department said the blasts destroyed three classrooms in Government Primary School, Nasrullah and two classrooms in Government Primary School, Matiullah.

He said the education department would make alternative arrangements for students so that they could continue with education after summer vacations.
