PESHAWAR, May 16: The Pakistan Railways arrested 1,078 passengers during April on the charge of travelling without tickets and collected Rs1,91,296 as penalty from them, says a press release issued here on Friday.

It says the income of the department has registered an increase of Rs6.35 million last month whereas the amount earned from goods transportation stands at Rs9.77 million.

The railways administration has also got its 1.28 acres of land released from 61 illegal occupants.
