PARIS, May 16: Actress Brigitte Bardot is being sued in France for having engaged in “racial hatred” in her latest book.
Two anti-racist organisations MRAP (Mouvement contre le racisme et pour l’amitie entre les peuples) and LDH (Ligue des droits de l’homme) say they have decided to file a suit against Miss Bardot, 68, charging her with “incitement to racial hatred” for statements made in her just-released new book of memoirs A Shout in the Silence.
The book is a grab-bag of racial epithets. Among the current “scandals” that Ms Bardot says most upset her today are that of “public assistance to the unemployed”.
