HYDERABAD: , May 14: Toxicology expert Dr Aftab Turabi here the other day gave a presentation on human poisoning due to the use of pesticides, its symptoms and treatment.

The presentation was given at the concluding session of an awareness programme launched for doctors about safe use of pesticides. The district government had organized the programme in collaboration with the Crop Life Pakistan. Over 50 doctors attended the presentation.

Dr Turabi stressed the need for taking measures to counter the dangerous effects of chemicals. He said studies carried out on pesticides had revealed that they affected human health which entered the body through respiration or dermal contacts.
