MUMBAI, May 14: The Indian rupee ended at a 20-month closing peak on Wednesday for the eighth successive day .

The rupee closed at 47.1450/ 1500 per dollar, against Tuesday’s 47.1575/1650, after the central bank pulled it off It an intra-day high of 47.13.
