Khattak’s election as CM celebrated in Nowshera

NOWSHERA, June 1: People belonging to different walks of life on Monday celebrated the formation of the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Teachers distributed sweets and termed the election of Pervez Khattak as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister a great achievement of the people of Nowshera.

“The new government will resolve the problems facing the teachers community on priority basis,” said former district president of All Teacher Association Nowshera Faiq Zada.

The teachers said Pervez Khattak had served the people of his constituency during his tenure as provincial minister for three times. They said Mr Khattak had now got the opportunity to serve the people of whole of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Provincial president of Muttahida Labour Federation Mohammad Iqbal hoped that Chief Minister Pervez Khattak would use his past experience to revive sick industrial units in the province to create job opportunity for youth.

Speaking at meeting of Charat Cement Factory union members on Saturday, Mr Iqbal said the previous ANP-led government had brought the province to verge of collapse due to corruption. However, he hoped that Pervez Khattak had the capacity to steer the province out of crises.

He said the new CM would end corruption, nepotism and favouritism and provide level playing field to all.

“The future of the province and PTI depend on the performance of the present government as the people have been awaiting implementation of the reform agenda announced by the PTI, he said.

Shopkeepers of Nowshera Cantt also celebrated the election of Pervez Khattak as chief minister. Speaking at a meeting they said the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak would take steps to resolve problems facing businessmen.

The traders expected of the PTI government to bring positive change in the society.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Anjuman-i-Tajeran Nowshera Cantt led by Khalid Sherazi and Shahnawaz Khan.
