20 Pakistanis held in Greece

ATHENS, May 10: Greek authorities have arrested a group of 20 Pakistani illegal immigrants near the Greek-Turkish border, police sources said.

A Greek citizen was also arrested with the group, the sources said.

Another police squad in the same region apprehended a group of four Turks, four Bulgarians and two Tunisians who they said had entered the country illegally.

All of the would-be immigrants would be deported, police said.

Separately, a court in the northeastern town of Komotini sentenced a Greek citizen to 14 months imprisonment for human trafficking.—AFP
