PMA’s health moot opens

GUJRANWALA, May 10: The third national health conference organized by the Pakistan Medical Association started here on Saturday.

Provincial Minister for Food Chaudhry Mohammed Iqbal inaugurated the conference and stressed the need for holding such conferences in all big cities.

He said the government wanted to provide health facilities to the people at their doorsteps. The private sector should also assist the government for serving the ailing humanity, he said.

PMA president Dr Ishtiaq Safdar said senior medical officers and experts would deliver lectures during the conference about diseases and their treatment in the light of modern research.
