LAHORE, May 22: An accountability court acquitted on Wednesday former Haj director Rao Shakil in a reference of illegal assets and sentenced his father five years in jail in the same case.
The NAB had filed a reference against Shakil and his father, Falak Sher, on charges of acquiring assets on the basis of forged documents.
The court released the former Haj director for a lack of evidence and jailed his father for five years with Rs2m as fine. — Staff Reporter
