LAHORE, May 7: The Lahore High Court Bar Association resolved on Wednesday that it would observe May 9 as an ‘anti-LFO day’ and continue its struggle against the LFO till its fate was decided by parliament.
Bar president Hafiz Abdul Rehman Ansari, while talking to pressmen, said the bar would actively participate in all efforts of legal fraternity against the LFO.
All bar associations of the country had announced last month that they would observe May 9 as an ‘anti-LFO day’. He demanded that LFO should be presented before the parliament through an amendment bill.
He also extended full support to Lahore Bar Association’s ongoing campaign for the shifting of all subordinate courts to the building of the district court. He said this long standing demand of the lawyers should be fulfilled by the government.
