PESHAWAR, May 6: An anti-terrorism court here on Monday arraigned six persons, including two women, for kidnapping of a shopowner.

The accused pleaded not guilty and decided to stand trial.

The court, presided over by Akhtar Zareef Khan, fixed May 14 for next hearing and summoned 13 prosecution witnesses.

Afzal Mohammad, owner of M/s Chief Burgers, was abducted last year when he was returning home from his shop situated on University Road. He was recovered next day from a house in Nasirbagh.

Nazar Mohammad, Faheem Jan, Imtiaz, Sahibzada Khan, Ameena and Shehzadgai were arrested and charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
