Punjab beat Police

LAHORE, May 4: Punjab recovered to beat Police 77-72 in a well-contested match of the national basketball championship at the Railways Stadium on Sunday.

Punjab were behind by a point (53-52) at half time. For winners, Zahid 14 and Abdur Rehman 12 were the major scorers.

Railways outclassed Pakistan Air Force 83-27 after leading the first half 60-23.

Wapda thrashed Habib Bank 81-50. Imran 16, Shahid and Aamir Iqbal 14 points each and Ishaq 10 touched the double figures for the winners.

Navy defeated Pakistan University 65-32.
