LARKANA, May 3: The sixth additional sessions judge, Larkana, on Saturday granted the bail before arrest to five persons, nominated in an FIR registered with the Market police station under sedition charges.

The accused — Sobho Gianchandani, Amanullah Shaikh, Kalina Devi, Dr Mazhar Mughal and Jeay Sindh Qaumparast Party chairman Qamar Bhatti — were granted bail in the sum of Rs10,000 each.

The bail applications had been filed with the acting sessions judge, Abdul Ghani Soomro, who transferred the case to the sixth additional sessions judge, Irfan Ahmad Siddiqi.

The matter has been fixed for May 15.
