LAHORE, April 9: Capital city police authorities on Tuesday replaced all 82 station house officers and investigation in-charges besides all Moharars of the operations and investigation wings.

Separate notifications were issued from the offices of DIGs Operations and Investigation.

Earlier, the caretaker Punjab government and provincial police authorities had replaced the CCPO Lahore, two DIGs, as many SSPs and 12 divisional SPs after the government decided to remove all field officers from their existing posts to level ground for holding free and fair elections.

Police sources told Dawn that all SHOs and Moharars across the province would be replaced.

They said existing SHOs of nine police regions except the capital city district Lahore would be transferred from their native district.
