LAHORE, March 18: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday the process of further consultation on a caretaker set-up was continuing within the party.

According to a handout, he said this while replying to media queries at the inauguration ceremony of a 300-bed hospital in Shahdara.

He said the personalities having good repute had been nominated for caretaker set-up in Centre and Punjab by the PML-N.

The chief minister said the modern hospital was an excellent gift from the Punjab government for the area people who would not have to go for treatment anywhere now.

He said the hospital that was completed in a ‘record time’ at one billion rupees cost had modern machinery, along with specialist doctors.

CM’s Special Assistant Khwaja Salman Rafique, PML-N leader Riaz Malik, MPA Rana Iqbal Ahmed Khan, health secretary, hospital administration and a large number of people were present.

The chief minister inspected various hospital wards and operation theatre and reviewed the medical facilities being provided to patients.

Secretaries of Communication and Works (C&W) and health departments gave briefings to the CM about the project and the medical facilities, respectively.

LADIES’ PARK: The chief minister also inaugurated an exclusive 44-kanal park for women in Sabzazar. The Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif Park has modern facilities like a jogging track, a gym, children play area, solar lights, a canteen and walking tracks.

On the occasion, he said the park had been completed in a record period of three months at a cost of over Rs20 million.

PML-N leader Mian Marghoob Ahmad, MPA Mehar Ishtiaq Ahmad, PHA director general and a large number of party workers, children and women were present on the occasion.
