PESHAWAR, April 30: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Tariq Pervez Khan has said that access to information is a citizens’ constitutional right and vital to ensuring transparency and good governance in the provincial government departments.

Chairing a meeting of the provincial information department here on Tuesday, the caretaker chief minister reviewed progress on the formulation of the Access to Information Draft Bill 2013, according to an official press release.

Mr Khan termed the access to information legislation an important legal device to ensure good governance and secure people’s right to information concerning matters of public interest. — Bureau Report
