KARACHI, Feb 24: Four men, among them a constable in Qaumi Razakar force, were gunned down by unknown attackers in different parts of the city on Sunday.

In Nazimabad, a Shaikh Mohsin Ali, 30, was shot dead near Parda Park within the remit of the Gulbahar police station, said police.

Police said the victim died instantly and it was not confirmed if the attackers ran away or used a motorcycle to escape after the killing.

The victim, police said, was a former resident of the Gulbahar area and was living near Nagan Chowrangi. He might have revisited his old locality to meet someone when he was shot dead, said police.

Police suspected personal enmity or dispute as a motive for the killing.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.

Property dealer gunned down

A property dealer was shot dead by motorcycle-riding attackers when he was driving a car on Tariq Road.

Police said that unknown attackers opened fire on the car near the Shahbaz Hotel and killed its occupant Jawad, 45, alias Irani. The attackers fled on the motorcycle.

The victim was rushed to a private hospital where he succumbed to his wounds during treatment.

He had suffered gunshot wounds in the face and hand, police said.

Police suspected some personal or business dispute might be an apparent motive behind the killing.

Qaumi Razakar shot dead

A constable in Pakistan Qaumi Razakar force (PQR) was sprayed with bullets by unknown attackers in Manghopir area on Sunday night.

The victim identified as Hazrat Gul, 45, was walking through the area when the attackers fired multiple shots at him. He died instantly. His body was later shifted to Civil Hospital for legal formalities.

Police could not immediately come up with a plausible motive behind the killing but pointed out that policemen and personnel of other law enforcement agencies were increasingly being targeted in Manghopir area.

Young man killed

Unknown attackers shot dead a young man under flyover at the NIPA intersection on Sunday night.

Police said that Mohammad Anver was sitting near a pan cabin when he was gunned down.

The victim was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police saw no apparent motive behind the killing.
