THIS is apropos of Shahzad Warraich’s letter ‘Thank you, government’ (Feb 2) in which he thanks the government for taking a positive step that resulted in the restoration of the jobs of many, including him.

It was nice to see, for a change, someone thanking the government in these columns. After reading the letter, how I wished that we all could do the same more often instead of hoping that, maybe, as impossible as it may sound, the next government would bring real succour to the people of Pakistan.

A moment later, I disregarded the wish calling it a flight of fancy.
