ISLAMABAD: A murder First Information Report (FIR) of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officer Kamran Faisal's has been registered after six days in the federal capital, DawnNews reported.

The FIR was registered in the Islamabad Secretariat Police Station by NAB officers who have maintained that Faisal was murdered and did not commit suicide.

The FIR was registered against unknown persons under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Faisal had been part of a NAB team that had been investigating the Rental Power Projects case. He had been found dead six days ago in his federal lodge room in Islamabad.

The IG Punjab had said that his body had been found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room.
