TAXILA, Dec 22: A man was axed to death over honour in railway colony in the limits of Hassanabdal police station on Saturday.

Police sources claimed that the deceased had illicit relations with a married woman, who along with her husband had recently shifted in a rented house   in Hassanabdal from Pindigheb.

In the early hours of Saturday, the man entered the house of the couple after scaling the wall to meet the woman. In the meantime, the woman’s husband overpowered the man and axed him to death.

The accused fled after committing the crime.

Hassanabdal police registered a case against the accused and have started investigation. The body of the victim has been sent to his native town after autopsy at THQ hospital.
