QUETTA, Dec 18: At least two men were killed and four others injured in a shootout with security forces in Karmo Wadh area of Kohlu district on Tuesday.

Official sources said that some armed men fired dozens of rockets at a check-post of Frontier Corps in Karmo Wadh area. However, personnel deployed at the post remained unhurt as the rockets landed in open spaces.

The sources said the men also opened fire on the post. The security personnel retaliated and killed two attackers on the spot. Four of the assailants were injured. The security forces arrested all the four wounded attackers.

Meanwhile, Azad Baloch, a spokesman for the banned Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack on the post. He said eight security men were killed.
