PESHAWAR, Nov 23: Jamaat-i-Islami took out protest rallies across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday to show solidarity with people of Palestine and condemn Israeli atrocities.

JI workers took out a rally from their headquarters in Peshawar which was led by the party provincial chief Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, secretary information Israrullah advocate and others. Workers chanted slogans against America and Israel.

Speaking on the occasion Ibrahim Khan appealed to Muslims to prepare themselves for ‘jihad’ to liberate Palestine and occupied Kashmir. He termed existence of the Jewish state in the Middle East unlawful and alleged that America and its allies were providing protection to Israelis to continue their occupation.

He said Israeli forces had killed over 200 people, including women and children, in relentless bombings on Gaza, but international community, including United Nations, remained silent over these atrocities. He urged Muslims to show unity and utilise their resources to eliminate the Jewish state.

SWABI: The Jamaat-i-Islami staged a protest demonstration against Israeli attacks against innocent Palestinians on Friday.

The JI workers gathered in the main office of the party and marched from there to the Karnal Sher Khan Chowk, holding placards and banners inscribed with anti-Israel slogans. They were led by provincial naib amir Usman Khan, district amir Saeed Zada and general secretary Mohammad Ali.

Addressing the workers, Mr Usman said the Muslim world should wake up as Israel had indulged in killing of innocent Palestinians. He recalled that it was the joint efforts of the Britain, US and their European allies to plant Israel in the heart of the Muslim world (Middle East) and then make it militarily strong while continuously supporting its barbarism.

GHALANAI: Workers of Jamati-i-Islami, Mohmand Agency, held a protest demonstration against attacks by Israeli forces on Palestinians.

The protesting workers described the attacks on Gaza as the worst kind of barbarism and urged Muslim Ummah to take a unified stand in that regard.

Led by naib amir Mohmand Agency Anwar Saeed Bacha, Arshad Khan, Haji Rohullah and Haji Ali Rehman, the protest demonstration was held in the main Mandi bazaar. The protesters chanted slogans against Israel and the US after the protesters also burnt the effigy of US President Obama. They said that innocent people, including women and children, were targeted by Israeli forces in Gaza. They urged Muslims across the world to wake up and stop genocide of Palestinians at the hands of Israel and the US.

TIMERGARA: The Lower Dir chapter of Jamaat-i-Islami on Friday held a protest rally at Talash against the Israeli bombardment on Gaza strip and demanded of the Pakistani government to record severe protest with the UN and the US.

Hundreds of party activists came out of the mosques after Friday prayer and gathered on the main Chakdara-Timergara road.

The JI district amir and former MNA Maulana Asadullah, former MPA Muzafar Syed, Qari Saeedullah, president Anjuman Tajaran Talash Fazal Qadir and others addressed the rally.

They strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinians. They urged the Muslim community across the globe to show unity and solidarity with their Palestinian brothers.

The speakers also condemned years’ long jail sentence of Dr Aafia by an American court and said the US had double standards.

BATKHELA: Shabab-i-Mili, youth wing of Jamaat-i-Islami, staged a protest rally against Israel attack on Palestinians.

The workers of Shabab-i-Mili after Friday prayers at the bazaar mosque came on the road. The protesters holding placards and banners chanted slogans against America and the Jewish state. The protesters also staged a sit-in on GT road in front of the Batkhela Press Club.

Addressing the protest rally, former provincial minister and JI leader Shah Raz Khan, JI Adenzai amir Sultanat Yar advocate, Shabab-i-Mili chief Zaffar Ali and JI Batkhela amir Khurshid Rabbai alleged that America was involved in killings of Muslims in Palestine, Afghanistan and Kashmir.

Protest rallies were also taken out in Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Chitral and Upper Dir districts to condemn Israeli atrocities on Palestinians.

LANDI KOTAL: The Khyber Agency chapter of Jamaat-i-Islami organised a protest rally at Jamrud against Israeli atrocities against Palestinians.

A large number of JI supporters led by JI Fata deputy general secretary Zar Noor Afridi gathered at the Bab-i-Khyber after the Friday prayers. The protesters holding placards inscribed with anti-Israel slogans marched through the main Jamrud bazaar and later gathered in front of the offices of political administration.

Speakers condemned the Israeli bombing of Gaza and accused the UN and US of their criminal silence over the killing of innocent Palestinians.
