KARACHI: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet sent the final schedule of the Pakistan-India bilateral series proposed to be held in December this year, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf said on Friday, DawnNews reported.

Addressing a press conference, Ashraf said that India had not finalised the schedule for the series which is supposed to be played in two months' time in India.

The series, which will comprise three one-day internationals and two Twenty20s, is the first in five years between the two neighbours. The proposed series is to be played in December-January when England, who are due to tour India later this year, return home briefly for Christmas and New Year.

The arch-rivals have not played a series since Pakistan’s tour of India in 2007, after cricket ties were snapped following the 2008 terror attacks on Mumbai.

The Indian and Pakistani cricket teams have only met in international tournaments since 2007.

They clashed in the World Cup semi-final in the Mohali, India last year, a high-profile game that was attended by the prime ministers of the two countries.

They also played during the Asia Cup in Bangladesh in March and more recently during the World T20 in Sri Lanka.
