ISLAMABAD: The government has released Rs.40.10 billion out of the Rs.233 billion allocated for social, infrastructural and Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2012-13 until September 14.

According to the Planning Commission of Pakistan sources, an amount of Rs.21.20 billion has been released for 342 projects of infrastructure development out of Rs 200.90 billion.

Similarly, Rs.17.60 billion has been released for 670 projects of the social sector against the allocation of 146.10 billion.

The government also released Rs.0.5 billion out of a total allocation of Rs.3.0 billion for 68 projects of other sector.

An amount of Rs.0.8 billion has been released to ERRA against its allocation of Rs.10.00 billion.

All the releases are exclusive of foreign aid disbursement, the sources said.
