LEADING television journalist Asma Shirazi has joined DawnNews as Senior Anchorperson and Analyst. She will be hosting a prime time show `Faisla Awam Ka’ every Monday to Friday at 10:05pm, says a DawnNews press release.

Asma Shirazi is a senior journalist associated with the electronic media for over 14 years. She has worked in various capacities such as diplomatic correspondent, anchorperson and senior analyst.

Shirazi has the distinction of covering the Lebanon-Israel war from the war front and becoming the first female war correspondent of Pakistan.

She has also covered important international events like the US presidential elections, Indian elections and the Saarc summit.
