Appalling act

Published July 11, 2012

THIS is with reference to a mob setting a mentally ill man on fire for allegedly desecrating the Holy Quran in Bahawalpur. God says in His holy book that He would look after His book Himself. Why did a mob try to take over His job?

If the man was mentally unstable and did not know what he was doing, God would have forgiven him. If he was sane and still did it, God’s wrath would have descended upon him sooner or later.

Why do people become judges and executioners on behalf of God? Is He incapable of doing what He has promised i.e., looking after the Holy Quran? If the mob thinks God needs their help, their faith is severely challenged.
