ISLAMABAD: Rehman Malik, whose membership as senator was on Monday suspended by the Supreme Court on account of his dual nationality was appointed as adviser to the prime minister on interior.

In exercise of powers conferred by clause(1) of Article 93 of the constitution , the president, on advice of prime minister, appointed with immediate effect, Rehman Malik as adviser to prime minister on interior, with the status of federal minister, said a notification received from the cabinet secretariat on Tuesday.
