ISLAMABAD: The executive committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Thursday expressed its deep concerns over the tension between two pillars of the state and held the government responsible for the situation.

The top representative body of lawyers, through a resolution, said the tension had been caused by what it called deliberate disregard of the Supreme Court orders by the government which was resulting in destabilisation of the democratic process.

“This meeting strongly condemns actions of those at the helm of affairs responsible for this disobedience of the Supreme Court and expects that the Supreme Court orders shall be implemented with grace and in letter and spirit,” the resolution said.
