QUETTA: Religious leader Maulana Abdul Kabir Qadri Qambrani and a student of his seminary were killed and his son and another student were injured in an attack in the Sariab Road area on Thursday night.

According to police, the assailants who were on a motorbike opened fire on them near the Bibi Nani Shrine.

Maulana Qambrani and the student, Dur Khan, were killed. Hospital sources said the condition of his injured son, Aminullah Qadri, and student Shamsuddin was critical.

The maulana belonged to Ahl-i-Sunnat Wal Jamaat and the seminary is in Killi Qambrani near the provincial capital.

Dear sir, The undersigned is born in Pakistan, more then 50 years out of Pakistan but always in touch with situation in Pakistan. Unfortunaty the country is passing though hard time due to bad people who would like to make problems in the country. Under the present situation and if I'm allowed to say, the present Government MUST detain by ORDER the celebrations of SHRINES in Pakistan so that the gethering of the people may be stopped.
