ISLAMABAD: The Flood Commission submitted its interim report to the Supreme Court on Friday, DawnNews reported. The report revealed that the situation in the flood affected areas was still alarming.

The report also revealed that the Tori embankment was not breached deliberately and that the water had waded over the embankment, sources told DawnNews.

The report further added that the irrigation system in the Dera Allah Yar area of Balochistan was badly affected and people in the affected areas had not been able to cultivate crops.

The case’s hearing was subsequently adjourned to March 28.
