ABBOTTABAD, Dec 21: Five relief workers died and two were seriously injured when a truck carrying goods for quake survivors skidded off the road and fell into a deep ravine near Kala Pani here on Wednesday.

The truck sent by a Christian NGO was coming from Lahore to village Kokmang when it met with the accident near Kala Pani, killing five relief workers on the spot.

Dead were identified as Waseem Samuel, Ayub Khawar, Waseem Sardar, Aurangzeb and Abdur Rasheed.

The injured were included truck driver Safeer Hussain, while name of the other wounded could not be ascertained. They have been admitted to the Ayub Medical Complex. Hospital sources described their condition as critical.
