RAWALPINDI: The body of another victim of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crash was brought to Islamabad from Karachi and handed over to his family who later drove the coffin to their native town Gujrat for burial on Wednesday.

A PIA flight (PK-8300) carrying 111 passengers and the coffin of Attaullah Khan arrived at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) from Karachi.

At the airport, the coffin was received by the family of the air crash victim.

Earlier on Monday, the bodies of three other victims of the air crash were brought to Rawalpindi and later handed over to their families.

The three were close friends, including a police official of Rawalpindi district. They had a part-time business of buying and selling old cars.

Asif Fiaz, police head constable, Syed Danish and Malik Mohammad Zeeshan had been in Lahore last week when they decided to fly to Karachi to attend the funeral of one of the relatives of Zeeshan.

They booked their seats on PK- 8303 which crashed in Karachi.

Separately, a PIA flight carrying 220 people departed for London from the IIA on Wednesday.

All the passengers and crew members were subjected to scanning for coronavirus before boarding PK-785.
