KHAR: Unknown persons targeted a house with a rocket in Bajaur tribal district’s Khar tehsil early on Monday, damaging its boundary wall, officials and residents said.

However, no casualty was reported in the incident occurred in Sheikh Meno area.

They said that the rocket fired from an unknown location hit the boundary wall of Khan Bahadar’s house. They said the family was sleeping when the incident occurred, creating panic among them.

Local people told reporters that the explosion was so powerful that it was heard far and wide.

Soon after the attack, family members of Khan Bahadar along with neighbours launched a search for the attackers, but they did not find any one in the surrounding areas.

A police officer in Khar confirmed the incident and said that the police had visited the house and examined the damaged walls. He said that the police had launched an investigation into the incident to find out the people responsible for the attack.
