KHAR: The security forces foiled a terror bid by seizing a good quantity of explosives from a vehicle in Bajaur tribal district and arrested a suspected militant, sources said on Saturday.

They said the explosives were recovered near Bajaur Sports Complex in Khar during an intelligence-based operation on Friday evening.

Soon after receiving information from an intelligence agency about the possible terror plot, a contingent of security forces was immediately dispatched to the area that firstly cordoned off the area and then launched the action, during which, explosives were recovered from a vehicle.

The sources said the suspected militant was later shifted to an unknown place for interrogation.
