ISLAMABAD: A total of 406 policemen will provide security to polio teams during the anti-polio drive in Islamabad from Monday.

More than 300,000 children up to the age of five years would be vaccinated.

Police have devised a special plan and the superintendents of all the four zonal would monitor security personnel.

The Counter-Terrorism Force (CTF) will keep patrolling in different areas while Eagle and Falcon squads will be on a standby to counter any untoward situation.

A focal person will sit in the control room at the deputy commissioner office to get firsthand information about the overall situation.

Police and security personnel would carry necessary weapons and ammunition for security of the polio teams.

DIG (operations) Waqaruddin Syed directed all police officials to brief the staff for security duties of the polio teams.
