LAHORE: Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) on Thursday sought cooperation from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) in taking action against the sponsors of illegal housing projects and protecting people from the scams in real estate sector.

“The CCP can play a vital role in protecting interests of the citizens in the real estate sector by snubbing those involved in looting the people through launching small and mega housing projects unlawfully,” Dr Shahzad Ansar, CCP’s member, said while speaking to the senior LDA officials. “The CCP and LDA can sign an MoU in this regard,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, LDA DG Ms Amna Imran Khan briefed the CCP delegation about number of approved and unapproved housing schemes. She was of the view that CCP’s cooperation would really help LDA protect rights of people in real estate sector.

ADMIN: The city administration on Thursday sought surrendering services of various deputy district officers (health) to the health department due to poor performance in the recent polio drives, according to a spokesman.
