DERA GHAZI KHAN: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar inaugurated on Saturday the distribution of Health Insaf Card in Dera Ghazi Khan and said his government would bring about a visible change in the health sector in the developing areas, without compromising the interests of other areas of Punjab.

At a ceremony, the chief minister said he would deliver instead of making tall claims and his mission was to meet better health and education targets under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He said the prime minister started distribution of health cards from Rajanpur and under the programme, medical and surgical treatment worth Rs720,000 for five members of a cardholder family.

He said he changed the condition of his home district Dera Ghazi Khan as he had the better knowledge of problems of Dera Ghazi Khan regarding demand of construction of mega sewage system for the city.

The chief minister also inaugurated 10 development projects, most for the tribal areas. He said Muzaffargarh-Dera Ghazi Khan Road would be completed by the next month.

Health Minister Dr Yaseen Rashid thanked the chief minister for helping her materialising the vision of Mr Khan. She said every cardholder would be given Rs1,000 after the treatment as travel expenses. She said if a card holder died, his family would be given Rs10,000 for burial arrangements. She said they had initiated the process of ‘change’ in the health sector.
