TAXILA: A seven-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted in the limits of the Rangoo police in Attock on Monday.

A citizen reported to the police that his nephew was playing in a street in the Wessa village when the suspect, a rickshaw driver, took him to his house and sexually assaulted him.

The police took the boy to hospital and after a medical examination registered a case against the suspect. The suspect was later arrested, said Subdivisional Police Officer Hazro circle Raja Fayyazul Haq. He said the 19-year-old suspect was a resident of the same village.

Separately, a teenage boy was hit and injured by a taxi car in Wah Saddar area on Monday.

Jumma Khan reported to the police that his son was crossing the GT Road when he was hit by the recklessly-drive vehicle.
