LAHORE: A team of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detected on Saturday illegal gas supply from a house in Gulshan Ravi (B-Block) to a nearby illegal CNG station.

According to officials, the SNGPL team visited the spot on Friday evening, but those involved in the theft offered resistance and fled.

SNGPL General Manager Qaisar Masood said the team along with FIA officials having warrants raided the spot again on Saturday and detected the theft.

The CNG station was being dispensed through the control system of a compressor (320-m3) with a bank of 19 cylinders.

“Such act endangered lives of the people,” Mr Masood said.

On one floor of the house, a school was also being run.

The team removed lines and consumer’s meter.
