LAHORE: Two men were shot dead in different areas of the city on Sunday.

One Syed Tehzeem, 55, a resident of Manawan, was killed by two unidentified motorcyclists near the police training school. Police said Tehzeem, a mason, was going home after purchasing utensils from the nearby market when the motorcyclists opened fire on him. He suffered four bullet wounds and died on the spot. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against the unidentified killers.

Cantonment Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Rehman said they were investigating the case from different angles. He said the motive could be robbery or sectarianism. In another incident, a-19-year-old boy was shot dead allegedly by his uncle in Hadiyara.

Police said Waqas, 19, of Narwar village, was driving his buffaloes to the grazing field when they entered the fields of his uncle, Maqsood, who got furious at it. Both of them exchanged harsh words. Maqsood went back his house, took a pistol and shot his nephew dead.

The boy suffered bullet wounds in his chest and died on the spot while the suspect fled the scene. Police have registered a case.
