IT is regrettable that the security system at some private schools in Karachi is not up to the mark. We all are aware of the dreadful attack on the Army Public School, Peshawar, and Bacha Khan University as well.

Being a mother, I would like to bring this to the notice of all that most schools located in Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Gulistan-i- Jauhar are performing their daily activities without any standard security arrangement as defined by the government. We do not see any armed guards, CCTV cameras, barbed wirings, etc, in these schools, though they are doing a roaring business.

I would request the authorities concerned to look into the problem. They may deploy an invigilation team which should visit schools for spot-checking.
