Teenager commits suicide

GHALANAI: A student of ICMS College, Peshawar allegedly committed suicide in his hujra in Ghazi Kor area of Haleemzai tehsil in Mohmand Agency in the small hours of Sunday.

The brothers and relatives of 17-year-old Hamza Gul came to know about the incident when they found his body hanging from a ceiling fan in the hujra around about 11am.

Eyewitnesses said that the deceased hanged himself through a rope with the ceiling fan. His body was shifted to a local hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

A local resident said that Hamza Gul sent messages from his mobile phone at nighttime to his brother, friends and other relatives, saying it was his last SMS because he would be no more in the world.

The deceased was an engineering student at ICMS College, Peshawar. He had come back to his village on weekend. His funeral prayers were held in Ghazi Kor village where he was laid to rest.
