LAHORE: A group of lawyers on Saturday allegedly misbehaved with additional district and sessions judge and ransacked his office.

An official told Dawn that barrister Ehtisham, Advocate Aminuddin and others misbehaved with AD&SJ Irfan Anjum. “They were demanding direction for the Defence-B police for registration of an FIR in a case, but the judge asked them to wait for comments from the SHO. On this the lawyers got infuriated and misbehaved with the judge and ransacked his office,” he said.

The judge has sent a report in this regard to the Lahore High Court which reportedly referred the matter to the Punjab Bar Council. Talking to a TV channel, Ehtisham said a campaign was being run against him and other lawyers.
